Lukens undergrads sweep at the Fozdar symposium

Huge congratulations to undergraduate researchers Ava Hollis and Abhi Verma for being awarded first and second place, respectively, as the most outstanding talks at the 2024 Fozdar Symposium.

Undergraduates in the Distinguished Majors Program (DMP) for neuroscience are selected to present their capstone research at the Fozdar Symposium.

Ava presented her research concerning the contribution of inflammasome activation to seizure propagation. Abhi presented his research investigating a potential role for IRF1 as a potential therapeutic target to limit neuroinflammation and amyloid beta accumulation in Alzheimer’s disease.

We are extremely proud of Abhi and Ava for their research efforts and for representing the lab at this prestigous event!
